Day 12 – Total confirmed cases in US: 86,012
These are dark days in more ways than one. For the first time, the US has more cases than any country in the world and that number at the top of the page includes people I know. Also, a quick look at the 2-week forecast shows a future without a sunny day in it.
My second watercolor painting has a lot more turbulence in it than my first one, even though it is mostly just a painting of the sky. That energy is attributable in part to the volume and threatening nature of the clouds, but also partly due to the fact that I was listening to Miles Davis’ Bitches Brew at the time. I had never heard it before and I defy anyone to listen to it with a wet paintbrush in their hand and not come up with something equally rambunctious.
