One Day Soon – Part One

One day soon
My feet are going to leave the ground
When they do
They’re never coming down
One day soon
I’m going over to the other side
When I do
I’ll pretend that I’m satisfied
Maybe you’re right and I’m wrong
Maybe you’re winning and I’m losing
Or maybe I’m winning and you’re losing
Or maybe competition is illusion
One day soon
I’m going to call everybody’s bluff
When I do
Everything won’t be enough
One day soon
I’m going to find out how this ends
When I do
I’m going to need a few very good friends
