The Lovelorn Blues

Everyone must feel a little lovelorn sometimes. And there’s some comfort in knowing you’re not alone in your misery. Hence, the blues.

I’m lovelorn baby
I’ve got the lovelorn blues
I’m lovelorn baby
And so are you

Tell me again how everything that’s put together falls apart
Tell me again how you can go on living with a broken heart

I’m lovelorn baby
I’ve got the lovelorn blues
I’m lovelorn baby
And so are you

Tell me again how you believe beyond the shadow of a doubt
Tell me again how we can turn the lights back on after they’ve gone out

I’m lovelorn baby
I’ve got the lovelorn blues
I’m lovelorn baby
And so are you
