(I Wanna) Hold You In My Arms

This is another old song of mine and another one of those unrequited love ones. I used to write a lot of them.

When you’re near me darling
I start to shake trying to make myself stand still
I wanna hold you in my arms
I wanna hold you in my arms
But my hands are filled

When you’re near me darling
You fill up all that emptiness inside
I wanna hold you in my arms
I wanna hold you in my arms
But my hands are tied

How can anyone be satisfied
If they don’t have you?
I can’t escape you but god knows I’ve tried
I can’t escape you but god knows I’ve tried
I can’t escape you but god knows I’ve tried, girl

Twenty years on bread and water
And every day I say it won’t be too long
I wanna hold you in my arms
I wanna hold you in my arms
I wanna hold you in my arms
But I’m not that strong
