It’s all written in her eyes
The look that cannot be disguised
A look of disappointment and surprise
A look to cut you down to size
A look that means more
Than words can explore
The look that we invented words for
A look that goes straight into the core
A look like the scent
Of lost innocence
A look so profound
You’re afraid of the sound
That breathes through your sighs
That squeezes your thighs
And the juice from your eyes
The look you’ve been meaning to try
The look of goodbye
