The snowflake on your eyelash made me smile
and the ones that settled on the fabric of your coat
sparkled like sequins
And when you got home
you put your wet things
on the radiator to dry
then you settled in with
a cup of tea and a
contented look in your eye
to watch the blizzard
and dream of springtime
